Transport Business Benefiting From Latest GPS Systems

The newest technology in Sat Nav devices is providing lots of companies with information they previously could only dream about. Sat Navs and GPS tools of old could only let the driver know about their locations, which directions to take and speed etc. This is the kind of data that can now be read on a computer screen on the other side on the globe, making everyone’s job easier. A taxi company or travel business for instance would benefit enormously. Here we take a closer look at what they can do

Speeding. Not only can they tell the driver how fast the vehicle is going, but they can also tell an operator. A number of the top devices even tell you if the vehicle is being accelerated or braked too hard. This helps companies establish who is driving well and within the law, and who maybe needs more driving training

Petrol. Stats released by Jump The Sun show that drivers, especially in the taxi business, would claim petrol money from their employers for miles that were covered whilst not on work hours. Employers could previously look at the tachometer of the vehicle but drivers would argue that they had to take a longer route due to traffic etc. There is now no room for argument though as bosses can see what miles were covered, on which roads and at what time of the day. The latest traffic information can also be fed into them

Location. Drivers can get to a new location much faster and more efficiently when their locations are mapped by a central operator. Calls don’t now have to put out to all drivers to discover their current position, the operator can simply check their computer and dispatch the vehicle which is closest.

Not Been At Work Because Of The Snow?

A lot of the time it can be very hard to get into work because of the snow or something like that but the real question to ask is, do people just make excuses on why they cannot get in or are they really stuck in the snow?

If you have a smaller car or perhaps rely on the wonderful public transport you will know how difficult getting in can be in the snow, this is why a boss should actually not be cross if someone cannot get in because of this. so if someone like this is calling you up I wouldn’t bother shouting at them because the chances are, they cannot do anything about the weather.

Are there any excuses for the people with the bigger cars? There are simply no excuses at all for getting into work if you have a 4 by 4 unless of course the snow is very high, what is the likelihood of that. As well as this if you live around an hours walk away from the home why do you not simply walk in? I had to do this last week and there really isnt any excuses on why you cannot do this, unless of course you cannot walk in.

Of course you could always go after something like large van lease or you could find yourself in need of pickup lease when your car gets stuck in the snow!

So when it snows like it has been quite recently again I would suggest thinking very carefully about if you can get in or not. Not getting in means that your company are one person down and if you cannot work at home the chances are you are costing them a lot of money.

Of course if you cannot get in why not look at minibus lease.

Accidents In The Cold weather

It would certainly seem that a snow day is likely to cause a lot more accidents that a normal day, and this is down to all of the people that just go into work when they shouldnt. So why is it there are more and more accidents than there ever has been in the snow?

Well one of the big reasons is simply because we have seen some of the worst snow recorded in a very long time indeed but what is worse is the people on the roads and that really is the major point here.

The people were just not listening to the warnings on going slow,  by the way slow doesn’t mean the normal 30mph on the smaller roads, we are talking 5-10 speeds just to make sure that you do not slip on the ice and crash into something. There are so many people out there that are driving all over the place and at high speeds and do not seem bothered if they get someome killed.

Although this isn’t always the cause of accidents it often is and if speeds were cut I am almost certain that the number of accidents would fall significantly.

The second reason why this is happening a lot is simply down to people being stupid. Make sure that if you do not feel you can drive in the snow, that you either walk or stay in. If you go out and do not really feel like you should be driving then you are just as bad as the people speeding! It is very hard and expensive to get a hold of bad credit car leasing and if you have crash on top of bad credit it will do you no favours at all.

If you do not feel that comfortable then go out and Luton van lease as you are likely to get across the roads a lot better. Of course you will not need to refrigerated van leasing!

More Bad News For Cars This Year?

2010 is going to be an important year for both cars and vans as it is quite unexpected on whether or not there is going to be a rise or fall in the sales of the motor industry. It would seem that 2009 was a very bad one for the motor industry, they had to throw away a lot of jobs to stay afloat. What on earth is going to happen in 2010.

There is not really a way to tell as yet, these are two ways that it could perhaps go.

One Outcome

The recession well and truly comes to a stop and people start to realise they have a bit of money. It will then all go mad and people will start to buy cars again starting with the ones that they are really after. Although I suppose this could happen I am not too sure that the average person could find the funds for a new car. If this happens I am certainly expecting a rise in the number of transit van lease as well as minibus lease simply because it will be cheaper to travel as a group.

The More Likely Outcome

They could perhaps see a large number of green car sales but a fall in everything else. The fall in sales will be down to the tax increases that are on the way but if you have money you are still going to buy the car you want. It would seem that saving the world has become quite a big thing now and walking and riding into work is something that more people are doing.

No more refrigerated van lease then?

In conclusion it could happen either way and the only way we can find out what will happen is to sit and wait.

Car Buying In The Recession?

For people living inside the UK it has been a very tough year for looking into buying a new car, could this solve your problems. There are actually many companies at the moment who are refusing to take all of the prices down as they are syaing that the Pound is too bad.

This means that companies such as Ford are actually putting up their prices rather than decreasing them and they are set to raise them again this time a £10,000 car will now set you back a whopping £11,300 which is a major increase on the cost of a car.

So is there anything that can be done about this at all? Well nationwidevehiclecontractsare actually offering people £100 discount on every single car leasing contract they have on their site which is simply astounding when you think about it.

So now there is no need at all to worry about getting that new car as you can now rest assured that at least you are going to be saving a small amount on that BMW Lease.

Of course it is not just the cars that this offer is going out to but all of the vans that can be found via the cheap van leasing. One of the best things about leasing either a van or a car is that in most cases it is easily the cheapest way of actually getting a new car which is of course why people do it.

So whatever you choose to do this year make sure that you know exactly which option to take when it comes to choosing your brand new car or van. You could of course go out to all of the main manufacturers and see how much more you are going to have to pay and you have to talk to the annoying salesman.

At the end of the day it is up to you!

How Would We Do Without The Van?

The van is something that is a lot more important than a lot of people think. The van is used for a lot of different reasons, keeping goods cold, keeping tools safe and transporting goods are just some of them. So what would all of these people do without their vans?

A lot of businesses would have never come into existance as without the vans they could not operate.

The Good Ol Fashioned Delivery Firms

Delivery firms like Parcel Force, UPS and more importantly for the UK, The Royal Mail. You would start to recieve your mail even less then you do now, The red vans the Royal Mail are famous for are certainly needed? They would really struggle to deliver anything at all. UPS and Parcel Force would be non existent as they specialize in the larger packages and without their vans it would become very difficult to deliver such things.

An End To Music?

Nothing is ever going to put a stop to music as a whole but you would start to see a fall in artists because many of them start out by using a van as it is often the cheapest and easiest way for bands to get around in to begin with.

A Postitive To This?

There are so many criminals out there that choose to the van as the vehicle in which to commit crimes with. Would this really make a lot of difference to the crimes that are committed?

Of course the obvious answer to all of this is, why not just drive a lorry? Time and money come into it as you have to take another driving test before you are qualified to drive a lorry. The lorry can not actually fit into many of the smaller roads which is one of the reasons that the van was invented in the first place.

Conclusion

Well it is obvious that without the invention of the van some people would be well and truly stuffed.

Small van leasing as well as  commercial  contract hire and van contract hire have further helped van users to save money when thinking about a new van.

Why Is Forza 3 So Good?

Forza 3 was released in October and it seems fitting to start to talk about why this game is so good and what made it so.

Forza 3 is the higly anticipated follow up to the Forza games and features way over 400 cars from over 50 manufactures as well as having 100 tracks. The polygons put into each car have increased 10 times since the last Forza edition.

The New Bits

Apart from the graphics and the hundreds of cars that have been added into the game, there are other new improvements within the game too. The in car driving view is something that has been wanted in this game since the first Forza and is something that I am using a lot. On top of this you can have one button assisted driving and full vehicle rollover with details undercarriages. Simulation drifting and SUV's have also been thrown into the series. It is possible to paint all of the cars in the game as well as being able to create your very own videos to put onto the Forza Site.

The game actually comes within two discs but do not worry you never have to change them over. The reason the second disc is there is because it contains 104 extra cars and a few extra tracks. The season itself has had some major improvements added to it in the form of a personal calender that you get to organise yourself and over 200 events are playable including oval, circuit, drift, drag and timed events. It has been said that no two calendars will be the same.

In reality a car does not always have to be expensive, Honda Car Lease can be a good way to do things.  This can also be done in the form of Audi leasing as well as leasing vans.

Vans Help Out Bands

Whenever you see newish bands that haven’t quite got to the top of the charts yet you will almost always spot a small van outside of the gig that will contain both the band and all of their equipment. But just how important is a van the group?

Dogs were thrown out in the early days of touring as the van became the best friend to many groups simply because they are cheap and easy to run. The reason why the big bands have the huge tour buses is because they have the money to do so or they get sponsered by big companies who know they will get money out of it. A lot of the smaller groups are not able to gain access to the big tour buses because sponsors are only interested in making a return from their investment.

A lot of the time the van will be provided to the band by a member of one of the families or they will chip in towards the cost. Once again is can be very difficult to buy a van outright even if there are three or more people paying for it so more often than not bands will look into van leasing UK because it works out cheaper.

The band then have any damages or accidents covered too so they do not have to take out any extra things they do not need like the band that took out pick up truck leasing just to cover them if the worst case scenario happened.

Although cheap van leasing is likely to be the best option for your band, it is also possible to get a van to run on vegetable oil which of course will save the band on fuel costs. The only real problem with this is that you need a trailer full of the stuff to keep you going for the duration of the tour.

Destroying Your Van

This list consists of just a few ways to destroy a van. This article is not supposed to encourage people to do this kind of thing and it just up here as a joke so please do not try any of this unless of course you want to die a very painful death.

Why not Blow it Up

This one is a great one to start off with as there are so many things that you can use to blow up the van with! Using TNT is a good idea because believe it or not it is safe because you can detonate it from a distance. The only place that any of this would be legal is under testing conditions in a television program or something like that. Other things you could perhaps use include a grenade, machine gun or even shooting the gas tank.

Why Not Roll It Over

This is one of the hardest ones to do without getting hurt because you really have to be driving it for it to happen. Many movies have cars and vans that roll over to kill or injure some of the people, sometimes it is just for effect. One of the most important things to remember from this is that the vans are often custom made and designed to roll over many times. If you were to roll over a normal van then it you would certainly die.

Crash It

This of course is the most common way to wreck a van due to the fact that there are many van crashes across the world every single day.  Many people are killed because of this and although vans are designed to stop death in the event of a crash the design will not protect you in the event of a real crash. This is something that should be left to the dummies.

So there you have it, just a few things you shouldn’t do with your contract hire vans. Commercial vehicle leasing and contract van leasing companies would not be interested in giving you cheaper deals if you are planning to do these things.

Of course you really shouldn’t attempt any of this because “You were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!”

Postal Service- Need More Vans

Without the vans that the post office have it is true to say they would be in even bigger trouble than they are now. With the Royal Mail in ruins and once again on strike it begs the question, how on earth do they deliver the mail on a normal day, let alone the days in which they strike on. This is how it is really meant to work.

Well what is supposed to happen is that the postman will receive a load of letters and parcels to deliver to the various roads he has been assigned to. When he gets to a certain point in his route one of the famous red postal vans will show up. When the van pulls up the driver will unload the next lot of mail for the worker to use in the next lot of roads he needs to deliver in. Why is it that it is never on time?

The time is actually something that is important here. Postman are not allowed to start as early as they used too which is partly why we do not get our post until at the very earliest 1pm every single day. This is actually rather terrible as in the old days you used to recieve two lots of post in the same day. This was actuallythe entire purpose of 1st and 2nd mail. The 1st lot was also meant to arrive at your door before you left for work in the morning.

It is considered lucky to have the post before you get home from work nowadays.

With postal strikes still occuring it has become very clear that the Royal Mai are not up to the job. The Queen is still sticking to her guns and sending post out via the Royal Mail but does anyone actually care what she thinks?

Would it be easier for smaller company’s to look into getting van leasing UK or van contract hire to get ahead of the Royal Mail? Commercial vehicle leasing has allowed many people to start up businesses because it would seem it is cheaper than buying the vehicle outright.
