The Scrappage Scheme Made Me Get My New Car
I am now 24 years old and have literally been driving old cars for almost a decade, they are forever causing me problems, either breaking down in the road or simply shaking. In all honesty I have probably become one of the worst RAC customers, I am constantly calling them to help me out.
I have been left with old and depleted cars for one reason only. i simply cannot afford to purchase a fresh one, i know all my friends get their cars on finance, but that is just something I do not desire to do. I do not even own any credits cards simply because of the fact that I am just too scared to get myself into debt.
But things seemed to be looking a lot better when the government and vehicle manufacturers introduced a brand new scrappage scheme, where they would give you 2k off of a new car if you handed in your old one. as soon as the system went live i visited my local service department to see what they could offer me, i had been saving up my money and funds for a long time and because of the scheme i finally had enough to get myself a adequate vehicle.
I chose to get a ford focus; I signed all the necessary paper work and handed my keys over. The service department possessor then said you are free to drive away. My drive back home was absolutely amazing; it honestly felt like the car was hovering over the road as I couldnt feel any bumps or anything.
The scrappage scheme has literally changed my life and I recommend it to anyone that is looking to purchase new cars.

The Vehicle Scrappage Scheme
Various people all over the country have been hailing the scrappage scheme as something that has very much rescued the failing industry. The whole country has noticed that new car sales are up a huge amount and this is because people know they are getting a bargain. For many people they have never been able to afford a brand new car because it cost so much, so they have kept their car for as long as they could. But the scrappage scheme has deducted £2000 off of new cars if you trade in your decade old vehicle.
But as many folk are not aware the scheme is only a temporary fix and by early 2010 it will all be over and the market may be on its knees once again. There are two possible reasons that this could happen; firstly it may be due to the fact that people are buying the cars now because they are in fact so cheap, so why would they want to buy another vehicle in only a year or so time.
We have to also think about whether or not the economy will fully recover by 2010 and is it right to stop the scheme then or should it be extended? I mean I actually believe that the economy will take many months to fully recover and possibly the vehicle sector will take much longer because it was one of the worst hit areas.
So vehicle manufacturers need to look at a new way to temp people into once again buying a new vehicle, because without any discounts or incentives the market will undoubtedly be feeling the pinch for many more years to come.
