How Would We Do Without The Van?

The van is something that is a lot more important than a lot of people think. The van is used for a lot of different reasons, keeping goods cold, keeping tools safe and transporting goods are just some of them. So what would all of these people do without their vans?

A lot of businesses would have never come into existance as without the vans they could not operate.

The Good Ol Fashioned Delivery Firms

Delivery firms like Parcel Force, UPS and more importantly for the UK, The Royal Mail. You would start to recieve your mail even less then you do now, The red vans the Royal Mail are famous for are certainly needed? They would really struggle to deliver anything at all. UPS and Parcel Force would be non existent as they specialize in the larger packages and without their vans it would become very difficult to deliver such things.

An End To Music?

Nothing is ever going to put a stop to music as a whole but you would start to see a fall in artists because many of them start out by using a van as it is often the cheapest and easiest way for bands to get around in to begin with.

A Postitive To This?

There are so many criminals out there that choose to the van as the vehicle in which to commit crimes with. Would this really make a lot of difference to the crimes that are committed?

Of course the obvious answer to all of this is, why not just drive a lorry? Time and money come into it as you have to take another driving test before you are qualified to drive a lorry. The lorry can not actually fit into many of the smaller roads which is one of the reasons that the van was invented in the first place.

Conclusion

Well it is obvious that without the invention of the van some people would be well and truly stuffed.

Small van leasing as well as  commercial  contract hire and van contract hire have further helped van users to save money when thinking about a new van.

Vans Help Out Bands

Whenever you see newish bands that haven’t quite got to the top of the charts yet you will almost always spot a small van outside of the gig that will contain both the band and all of their equipment. But just how important is a van the group?

Dogs were thrown out in the early days of touring as the van became the best friend to many groups simply because they are cheap and easy to run. The reason why the big bands have the huge tour buses is because they have the money to do so or they get sponsered by big companies who know they will get money out of it. A lot of the smaller groups are not able to gain access to the big tour buses because sponsors are only interested in making a return from their investment.

A lot of the time the van will be provided to the band by a member of one of the families or they will chip in towards the cost. Once again is can be very difficult to buy a van outright even if there are three or more people paying for it so more often than not bands will look into van leasing UK because it works out cheaper.

The band then have any damages or accidents covered too so they do not have to take out any extra things they do not need like the band that took out pick up truck leasing just to cover them if the worst case scenario happened.

Although cheap van leasing is likely to be the best option for your band, it is also possible to get a van to run on vegetable oil which of course will save the band on fuel costs. The only real problem with this is that you need a trailer full of the stuff to keep you going for the duration of the tour.
