Grandpa’s new scooter has given him a new lease on life, and now he is always on the go You should see him! During the nighttime he recharges it, then the next day he’s ready to go He drives downtown on the sidewalks and beeps, waves and smiles at everyone who crosses his path He’s says he’s never had such fun Grandpa’s new scooter is allowing him to enjoy the outdoors again But one thing still worried grandpa It was quite the spectacle, watching this guy try to get his mobility scooter in to the trunk of his car Grandpa really can’t lift that much, even though the scooter isn’t very heavy Oftentimes, he had to stop a stranger on the street and ask for help, which always embarrassed him Grandpa is a man of pride and independence And that’s why he was so happy when mother bought him a scooter lift for his birthday
 
A scooter lift does just what you might expect-it helps grandpa lift his mobility scooter into his car  The scooter lift my mom bought for him is easy to use It attaches to the hitch of his car and doesn’t have to been bolted on It runs on the scooter’s own battery The scooter lift only needs to be connected to the battery, after which the lift does all the work Very quickly the power scooter is moved by the scooter lift to a level at which grandpa can steer it into the rear of the vehicle Then he just removes the scooter lift from the hitch and places it in the trunk right alongside the scooter It’s as simple as that To allow for easy storage, most lifts can be easily disassembled into 3 separate pieces

Now grandpa can load and unload his scooter by himself, which gives him more independence With his new scooter lift, he is free once more to do more of what he wants to do Mom is currently happy also She reports that her dad has more vim and vigor than she can ever remember She says she hopes she’s like that when she’s his age I wish for that also All I can say is thank goodness for that scooter lift, our entire family is very happy with the end resultI only wish we had known how useful they are sooner
