When designing the Murcielago LP 670, Lamborghini clearly had weight loss on their minds. Working with hi-tech carbon fiber and other lightweight materials, they managed to shave off 220 pounds from the standard Murcielago model. With the same composite construction as a race car, and the recalculated framework using new materials, they were able to reduce the weight by 72.6 pounds in the chassis and exterior, 78.8 pounds in the interior and 72.6 from the engine and drive train. 

No corners were cut and a super high level of quality workmanship was used. The craftsmen who hand built this incredible sports car did an amazing job.
