Honda makes some of the best autos there are, that’s a fact. That’s why in many categories Honda cars are the most popular for consumers. These autos are made to some of the highest standards of any cars.  They even stand up to more expensive cars.  Quality and reliability describe Honda well.

One of their best cars is the Honda Civic.  With models from a sedan to a coupe and even a hybrid version, many people purchase and drive this model.  There are models around $23,000 as well as more basic ones in the $15K range.  This car is also one of the best when it comes to gas mileage.  The coupes and sedans get around 36 miles per gallon on the highway, while the hybrid boasts 46 highway miles per gallon.  Because of the necessity to replace the battery, the hybrid still ends up being more expensive over time.

Honda hybrid cars became available on the market in 1990′s and they were introduced in the United States in 1999. The model called Honda Insight was the first one that became available to us buyers and soon Toyota Prius followed Honda’s model. Apparently Honda hybrid models are not sold as well as the Toyota ones even though in the United States Honda has taken the lead. One Honda hybrid that set a record in terms of selling in 2004 is the Civic Hybrid. The number of Honda hybrid models sold on the market since 1999 when Insight was released until 2006 surpassed that of 100,000. Most of these models have found owners in the United States, next come Japan, Europe and Canada.

In 2004 another Honda hybrid was introduced on the market and it was called Accord. This way people could enjoy the Honda hybrid cars more extensively and with a greater variety. It has presented the company in North America with quite a great deal of success and worldwide it has become a favorite among hybrid models. This particular model has 255 horse power, it is a V-6 car and it reduces the fuel consume a great deal.

The Civic Honda hybrid was released in 2002 and it included an integrated motor assist system that proved magic in terms of lowering fuel consume. The only problem that Honda hybrid models and other companies’ designs have in common is that the batteries are highly dangerous for the environment.
