Toyota Corollas have been manufactured in all continents of the Earth – in Australia ( production has been ceased however ), in the East ( in Japan, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey ), in South America ( in Brazil and Venezuela ), Africa ( in South Africa ), Northern America ( in Canada and the U.  S.  ), and Europe ( Derbyshire in the UK ).  {However ,} production of Corollas in the Toyota facility in Freemont, California is slated to stop by March 2010.  There have been 10 generations of Corollas made, with the most recent generation introduced in 2006.  The Corolla brand has been canned in Southeast Asian states since the ninth generation, and that market has utilised the brand Toyota Altis since.  In the US, sales figures have been stable, still even reaching above 350,000 units sold in the country in 2008, in spite of a depression.  Figures topped in 2006, when more than 380,000 Corollas were sold in America alone.

The Toyota Corolla is without question one of the best selling cars in the entire world.  This is not a thing to be shocked about though since from the start it is known for its easy handling, excellent fuel use, peppy acceleration, smooth ride, and sporty style.
