Volvo calls this vehicle the true convertible.  After all , this vehicle really boasts of the prestige and fame led to my a convertible yet at the very same time, this vehicle holds and provides utmost comfort and the kind of safety that only a Volvo vehicle could supply.  This vehicle is the Volvo C70 and right now it is on its second generation of vehicles.

This auto holds and uses the platform that was also utilised by the Volvo S40.  The second generation Volvo C70 was designed by John Kinsey and was built by Pininfarina.  It now includes a three piece retractable metal hardtop rather than the soft convertible top which was the normal one.  However, there are no more coupe versions to be offered to the market. 

Hans-Olov Olsson, the boss and President of Volvo Cars exclaims,’We’ve succeeded in creating an engaging convertible which, at the mere touch of a button, converts into a similarly elegant coupe.  The customer gets two autos in one.  Both with space for four adults.  Our all new C70 is one of the first open top automobiles in the premium segment with both a steel roof and space for 4 adults.  We believe this is a very sought-after combination.  That’s why we are expecting to more than double our sales compared with the first generation C70.’.

I decided a test drive was in order.  I did not like to let my Cruiser go but I also knew that it was time for a change.  After all , I got a new job and a new life in a Southern state.  My Cruiser was excellent for my life up north but the Chrysler Sebring convertible was ideal for my new life in the south. 
When I entered the dealership the salesman knew that he was going to be selling a vehicle that day.  Within 5 minutes of driving the Chrysler Sebring convertible I offered a gigantic yes to the deal.  The price was right and the automobile was beyond perfect.  The smooth driving car felt strong and free and I couldn’t wait to put the 1st mile on my own model. 

There were some colors available and I had a tough time selecting between a shiny black or a silver model.  I always wanted a black car but the weather up north left these coloured vehicles dingy and covered in salt.  Silver was better for a northerly vehicle.  For that extremely reason, I chose a Chrysler Sebring convertible in deep black.  It was the perfect change for my new life.
