You could also visit some car dealer forecourts and get an estimate of what they would get for selling your car for you. Cars are usually more expensive when bought from car dealers so it is a good idea to reduce the price that the dealer gives you. After all you want to attract potential buyers and there is an added risk to buying privately so you will have to offer an incentive to buy.
